GED® Testing Program – Fax Verification Requests

Request a Verification

If you took the GED® test in Florida and need a verification of your State of Florida High School Diploma, you may submit a request in writing to the Florida GED® testing office. The request must include an original signature for the diploma recipient. Once we receive the written request via fax or email, it takes approximately 5-7 working days for verification fax to be sent. There is no charge for this service.

For records that are verified, the information provided in the letter will include the following:

Diploma recipient’s name
Diploma recipient’s ID number
Diploma Date
Diploma ID number

The letter will be signed by a customer service representative from the Florida GED® testing office.

If record of a diploma cannot be located with the information provided, a document will be sent to indicate no records were found. The Florida GED® testing office does not fax transcript or score information.

To receive a verification letter, you should:

Step 1: Complete a Written Request and Release of Information

Or you may submit the request in another form.
The written request must include the following information:
- Candidate Information
  - Name
  - Date of birth
  - Social security number
  - Approximate year the test was taken
  - City or county where the test was taken
- Original signature of the diploma recipient, which certifies that he/she agrees to release the diploma information
- Fax number to which you would like the verification letter sent.
