Important Notices on Testing
GED Testing Service® is releasing a new version of the GED® Test on January 1, 2014. Individuals who have tested on the current 2002 GED® Test Series must complete the exam series by December 2013. Scores from the 2002 Series Will Not be combined with scores for the new assessment. Candidates who do not complete the current series will have to meet the requirements of the new test, starting January 1, 2014. If you need to schedule a test, contact your local testing center (see link below).
The GED® Tests cannot be taken online and can only be taken at an official testing center. See information below for a list of approved testing sites that are open to the public.
A limited number of testing centers are offering the GED® computer-based test (CBT). To find out more about GED® CBT or register for the GED® CBT visit http://gedtestingservice.com/testers/test-on-computer. This is not an online test, you must take the GED® test at an approved GED® testing site.
Attention GED® test-takers: Adults who take the GED® test on computer are scoring higher and finishing faster. In fact, 88% of people passed the GED® test on computer compared to 71% for those who tested on paper. GED Testing Service® is so confident you'll do well that if you don't pass your first GED® test subject on computer, GED Testing Service® will pay for your second shot! It's that simple. You pass or they pay. Visit GEDtestingservice.com/secondshot to learn more.
